There are many ways to sail the sea. But with unfurled sails, it has a whole other flavour.
Learn the art of sailing in a 3-hour basic course in Marina di Ravenna following the valuable instructions of your experienced instructor.
Salt on your skin and wind on your face. Do you really still have doubts?
What we will do
The meeting will take place at the meeting point in Marina di Ravenna (RA), 5 minutes before the time selected during the booking process. We will be welcomed by our federal sailing instructor, ready to accompany us on our discovery of this fascinating discipline.
Right from the start, he will try to gauge our experience, to best adapt the course to our abilities. The course is suitable for beginners , but if we have already sailed on a sailing boat, even if only as passengers, we will be able to set off with an extra gear!
We will set sail on our boat, where the instructor will give a briefing lasting about 30 minutes: we will learn the theory and physics of sailing and what are the secrets of making it talk to the wind. Once we've cast off the moorings, we'll get into the action!
We will sail for about 20 minutes to reach our point of interest. Once ready, each of the participants will be assigned a role so that we can work as a real crew. There will be the helmsman, along with the various people in charge of manoeuvres, sails, shells and ropes.
In rotation, every 15 minutes or so, we will change activities, so that we learn the basics of sailing in its entirety. We will learn the gaits, tacking, jibing: in short, all the manoeuvres essential to falling in love with this discipline!
At this point we will start the return journey to the harbour, taking advantage of the 20 minutes of sailing time to exchange opinions and feedback on the experience. The course will last a total of 3 hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 12.
The activity is also suitable for people with disabilities. Minors may participate by presenting a waiver or accompanied.
Other information
The activity is available all year round, and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 3 participants.
Theboat used during the activity is a 10-metre-long Oasis 33 S, equipped with double helm, Full Batten mainsail Sq. 38, Jib Sq. 30, Gennaker rigged on bowsprit Sq. 105.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.
