Full description
Optimist, Laser or Bahia. These are not names of Pokémon but of sailing boat models that you could captain during this sailing course!
Once assigned to your adventure companion, you will work together during the 6 1-hour lessons that will turn you into a basic sailor. Thanks to your one-to-one relationship with an instructor , you will learn how to rig, de-rig and steer your boat safely in light winds .
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Isola delle Femmine (PA). I am your instructor and I will transmit all my passion for this aquatic discipline to you during this sailing course!
The package includes 6 individual lessons of 1 hour; I will be at your complete disposal, to better accompany you in this new experience. The course consists of theoretical and practical lessons during which I will teach you the following sailing basics: rigging and dismasting, hauling, steering and manoeuvring the boat, as well as notions of safety at sea and the main knots.
All this on board Optimist, Laser or Bahia model boats. At the end of the course you will know how to rig, de-rig and steer one of these sailboats safely in light winds : the road to becoming a sailing champion will be a little shorter!
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 6; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point.
This sailing course is suitable for beginners.
Other information
The experience is available from May to October subject to weather and sea conditions at the organiser's discretion.
A car park is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
The package of lessons can be carried out as follows: lessons twice a week or on consecutive days, in agreement with the instructor by contacting him/her at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail.
Insurance (€15.00 per participant) and a basic course kit including hat, jersey, backpack (€10.00 per participant) must be paid on site.
This sailing course does not include the issuing of a licence.
