Scuba Diver course in Polignano a Mare

Experience the thrill of breathing underwater with our diving course in Polignano a Mare.

Together with an experienced instructor(Professional SSI), you will learn everything you need to dive in open water up to a depth of 12 metres. In just two half days, you will discover the wonders of the underwater world and obtain your first certification.

The SSI Scuba Diver course is in fact the perfect basis for becoming a safe and reliable diver. With this programme, you will complete almost half of the training for the Open Water Diver certification, which you can easily achieve on your next trip to any dive centre.

What we will do

The meeting point is at the diving centre in Polignano a Mare (BA). Here you will be welcomed by the staff who, after assigning you thediving equipment (included), all tested and of the latest generation, will conduct a briefing to explain the assembly and diving procedures.

After that, we will move on to snorkelling exercises done in shallow water (pool or delimited basin in the sea) and, afteracclimatisation and aquatic tests, we will move on to the actual fitting with the diving equipment.

We will then experience thethrill of breathing underwater first in shallow water and then in deep water (5 metres maximum in a pool or delimited basin in the sea) under the supervision of theinstructor. Once all the exercises have been completed, we will get out of the water and dismantle the equipment, ready for the next day.

The first day of the course will end by resuming the theoretical notions studied in the digital handbook (provided by the school) and going into the desired topics in depth.

On the second day of the course, after the usual meeting at the diving centre, we will pick up our equipment and go out in a rubber dinghy for two dives to a depth of between 6 and 12 m maximum. Between each dive, we will get out of the water to change tanks and debrief the previous dive. The dives will last between 30 and 45 minutes each.

We will return to the diving centre, where the final quiz will be waiting for us. Finally, we will be awarded the Scuba Diver certificate.

The course lasts approximately 10 hours, spread over two half days.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone over the age of 10. The important thing is to be in good health, to know how to swim and to be willing to discover new worlds, colours, fish and a dimension in weightlessness.

The course is held throughout the year, subject to instructor availability.

Please note! The booking time is purely indicative and may be agreed differently with the instructor. The course could be held on a single day, from morning to evening, but we recommend holding it on two half-days to get the most out of the experience. You can agree when to do the second day directly with the diving instructors.
