Did you always think snorkelling was simply 'putting your head under water and watching the fish'? Well, forget it.
This is not the usual trip into the sea: it is a real snorkelling course, structured in two excursions on the same day, designed for those who want to learn to venture underwater with awareness. All in thePlemmirio Protected Marine Area, in a sea populated by sea urchins, starfish, small curious shoals and seabeds full of life.
With the help of an NAD-certified instructor, you will tackle the first technical approaches to the discipline and take home not only a total experience, but also an official Snorkel Diver licence valid worldwide!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 14:00 at the meeting point in Syracuse, where we will meet thesnorkelling instructor.
Having gathered all the participants, we will board the boat that will accompany us for two outings on the same day, within thePlemmirio Protected Marine Area.
During the first excursion, we will explore a stretch of the Giant's Coast, among submerged caves, reefs sculpted by time and clear waters in which small marine wonders teem. We will begin to familiarise ourselves with the equipment and the basics of breathing in water, delving into the correct techniques of buoyancy, finning and compensation. We will dive for a first direct contact with the underwater world.
After a break on board, we will prepare for the second excursion: another session in the water, again immersed in the wild environment of the Plemmirio, to reinforce what we have learnt and also begin to use the ballast belt, which will allow us to descend with greater control among the rocky walls and underwater grasslands.
The course will end with a debriefing and the awarding of the internationally recognised SnorkelDiver certificate issued by NAD, which will enable us to snorkel independently, anywhere in the world (except at night).
The experience will last approximately 6 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 14 to 70 years of age. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a waiver by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.
Other information
The activity is available from mid-April to mid-October and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
Theboat on which the experience will take place is a sailboat 9.75 m long, 3.22 m wide and 1.76 m high. It is equipped with cushions, awning, and an ascending ladder. It is necessary to remain barefoot on board. Dogs are not allowed.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; parking spaces are available on site for a fee.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
