I bet you’ve never admired Vesuvius from the sea!
Come aboard for an extraordinary adventure along the Vesuvian coast, discovering fascinating stops such as Vico Equense and the Scoglio della Tartaruga.
On this 6-hour trip, you’ll be accompanied by a skipper and marine biologist, ready to reveal the secrets of the local biodiversity. The icing on the cake? An authentic Neapolitan lunch on board!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before departure at the meeting point in Torre del Greco (NA). We’ll meet the skipper – a marine biologist ready to reveal the secrets of the Gulf’s biodiversity – and board an authentic, restored gozzo.
We’ll set sail along the coast of Torre del Greco to enjoy a close-up view of Vesuvius from the sea and admire the historic Torre di Bassano and Torre Saracena. After about 50 minutes’ sailing, we’ll reach the Sorrento Coast, heading as far as Vico Equense. Here we’ll anchor for a stop of about 2 hours to relax, go for a swim and enjoy lunch on board, featuring slices of pizza, Neapolitan sandwiches, assorted snacks and Falanghina del Vesuvio wine, as well as soft drinks.
We will then move on to a second stop of about 1 hour at Scoglio della Tartaruga. Those who wish to do so can swim to the nearby beach or use private dinghies to get closer to the shore (costing around €8–10 per person, payable on site) to go ashore.
At the end of the stop, we’ll set sail again to return to Torre del Greco. The excursion will last 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is open to everyone, with no age restrictions. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
For safety reasons on board, pregnant women are only permitted up to the fourth month of pregnancy.
This activity is not suitable for passengers with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity is available from May to October at weekends and is confirmed once a minimum of 6 participants has been reached.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, at the skipper’s discretion.
The trip takes place on a restored wooden gozzo dating from 1970 (10 metres long and 3 metres wide) , equipped with a toilet, sun deck, awning and fresh-water shower. You must go barefoot on board.
We are unable to cater for food allergies or intolerances; participants with specific dietary requirements are welcome to bring their own food on board.
Dogs are not permitted on board.
The boarding point is accessible by public transport and there are pay-and-display car parks nearby.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
