Full description
The Sicilian sun, the scent of the sea and the wind swelling the sails.
You only have to close your eyes to imagine yourself on board a beautiful sailboat, ready to set sail from Palermo to Mondello and Capo Gallo. A full day along the north-west coast of Sicily, amid spectacular scenery and stops in turquoise waters.
And towards the middle of the day, what could be better than lunch on board with typical Sicilian dishes and a view of freedom? Get ready to set sail!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at 10.00 am in Palermo, where the skipper will welcome us and seat us on board the Dufour sailing boat. After a quick safety briefing, we will cast off our moorings and set sail in the direction of Mondello.
We will sail along the coast of Palermo, passing the historic Palazzina dei Quattro Pizzi and the Tonnara dei Florio, until we reach the deep waters ofAddaura. We will be able to admire the rugged coastline, dotted with inlets perfect for our first swimming stop (approximately 45 minutes): a regenerating dip, some snorkelling or exploration on SUP (available on board).
Around lunchtime, traditional Sicilian dishes will be served on board (lunch included) accompanied by wine and water.
We will sail back to the enchanting Gulf of Mondello, with its white sand and turquoise sea, and then on to the Capo Gallo Reserve, described by Goethe as 'the most beautiful promontory in the world'. Here we will have time for a second swimming stop (about 45 minutes), with the possibility of exploring the area with the SUP or simply letting ourselves be lulled by the waves.
Return to Palermo is scheduled for 4.30 pm, after about 6 and a half hours of touring.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is accessible to people with mobility problems.
Suitable for pregnant women up to the 5th month.
Other information
The tour is bookable from March to November on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
The itinerary may vary depending on the marine weather conditions of the day.
You will be on board an 11-metreDufour sailboat equipped with everything you need to enjoy your day at sea: bathrooms, galley, refrigerators, spacious sundecks in the bow and large cockpits with comfortable seating and a table, perfect for relaxing while sailing. Dogs are not allowed on board.
You stay barefoot or wear white-soled shoeson board.
