Full description
Discover the three most famous islands of the Venetian Lagoon on a day boat tour. You will reach Murano, Burano and Torcello and disembark on each island to visit them on foot.
You will enter a glassworks in Murano, admire the characteristic colourful houses of Burano and in Torcello stroll through the narrow streets where time seems to have stopped at the time of the Roman Empire.
A tour that will allow you to combine the autonomy of free time to visit the three islands on foot with the convenience of organised transport with a guide who will tell you many interesting facts along the way.
What we will do
We will present ourselves at the indicated time at the chosen departure point.
At this point we will board and set sail in the direction of Murano. Here we will have an hour to visit the historic centre and one of the famous glassworks where glass is made (a 15-minute visit is included).
We will set off again to reach Burano, the island of lace and brightly coloured houses. We will have two hours of free time to visit the island and, as it will be about 1pm and hunger will set in, we can either reach one of the typical restaurants where we can have lunch or choose the best spot to eat our packed lunch overlooking the Venice Lagoon.
We will set off again to disembark after a few minutes in Torcello. We will have an hour to take a dip into the past and stroll through the narrow streets winding along the island. An obligatory stop on this small island is at Attila's throne, located in the main square; a popular legend says that this marble chair was the throne of the King of the Huns.
Once back on board, it is time to return to Venice. The experience lasts about 7 hours, but varies depending on the point of departure (and consequently arrival) chosen: we disembark at 5.30 pm at St Mark's and at 6 pm near Santa Lucia station.
