The greatest spectacle after the Big Bang, to use Jovanotti's words, is surely theeruption of Stromboli on the sea!
Set sail on a motorboat from Tropea to experience this unique moment and get ready to discover the islands of Panarea and Stromboli, pearls of the Aeolian Islands, on foot.
Aday excursion that will become the most beautiful memory of your holiday!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 30 minutes before 10:30 am at the meeting point in Tropea.
After having completedboarding the motorboat, we will begin our navigation along the coast of Tropea and Capo Vaticano, one of the most scenic areas of Calabria.
On board, the guide will give us some advice on how best to organise our stops on the Aeolian Islands, which we will visit freely once we have disembarked.
At around12:45 we will land on theisland of Panarea, where we will stay until 15:30. During the free stopover ashore we will be able to take a swim on the local beaches, reaching them with typical taxis, visit the prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese, or explore the village on foot and taste Aeolian specialities.
Departing from Panarea, we will arrive in Stromboli around 16:00 and stay here until 19:00. We can use the time to take a walk on the black sand beach, take a swim in the cobalt blue sea or buy some typical products to take home with us.
After re-boarding, we will sail to the Sciara del Fuoco and make a 20-minute stop to admire thenight-time eruption of the active volcano from our boat. This stop will be the spectacular conclusion of our tour, before we begin our return journey.
We will return to Tropea around 10.30 p.m., for a total duration of about 12 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 2 years old and up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is wheelchair accessible: contact the organiser for boarding support.
Other information
The activity is available from May to October.
Stops on the islands are free for the participants to visit; there is no accompanying guide on land.
The excursion takes place on board a motor vessel 36 m long and with a capacity of 306 persons, equipped with an open deck, covered area, WC and bar service. It is possible to carry small luggage on the ship. It is not permitted to travel with bulky objects such as beach umbrellas or children's toys. Shoes are permitted on board.
The disembarkation fee of € 5 per person, payable locally, is not included in the fee.
Dogs are not permitted on board.
There is free and/or paid parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport within the excursion departure time.
