Full description

Experience freeriding and off-piste skiing together with a ski instructor. You will ski on the snow-covered and still virgin slopes of Andermatt, in the largest ski area in the Swiss Alps.

You'll put on your skis and together with your guide you'll learn or improve your off-piste skiing technique to discover untouched landscapes and experience the thrill and adrenaline of sliding on untracked and unprepared snow.

You will also be able to test different freeride skis provided by the instructor. In short, it will be atruly exciting experience that you will be able to enjoy in total safety thanks to the equipment you will be provided with and thanks to the presence of your guide.

What we will do

The meeting is at 9:00 a.m. in Andermatt (or Disentis if you prefer), Switzerland. Here we will meet the ski instructor qualified as a freeride instructor who, after due introductions, will provide you with theavalanche equipment, consisting of anavalanche transceiver, shovel and probe.

You will reach the slopes, do a further check with the guide to ensure you have all the necessary equipment, and off you go, ready to go.

You will discover virgin valleys and slopes that lend themselves perfectly to your day of freeriding. You will traverse slopes and forests where the silence will only be broken by the flow of skis on snow. You will look for the best freeride lines coming down from the Gemmstock, a peak above Andermatt, known as a freerider's paradise the world over.

By 15:00, hunger will have set in and it will be time for lunch in a restaurant on the slopes (not included).

After recovering your energy with a delicious meal, you will descend to the valley floor to enjoy the long-awaited après-ski. The experience will end around 5.30 p.m., about 8.5 hours after the meeting point.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is aimed at experienced skiers, who are able to move safely on the slopes and areover the age of 18.
