If you want to learn to understand animal behaviour better than Doctor Dolittle, this farmexperience is for you! The province of Pisa awaits you with its beautiful countryside and its animals to help you discover many new facts about their habits.
Meet the farm animals and learn how to take care of them, then take a break to enjoy a delicious snack that will include a homemade cake and tea or coffee. These will be fun hours, in which you can collect the hens' eggs, cuddle the animals and discover many new facts about the world of amphibians!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in San Giuliano Terme (PI), where our animal expert guide will be waiting for us. After a short briefing of about 10 minutes during which the programme for the day will be explained to us, we will begin our farm experience!
We will meet the animals right from the start, including hens, rabbits, pigs, donkeys and the very friendly ponies Stella, Matilde and Adele. With the help of the guide, we will learn how to take care of them and interpret their behaviour, and we will hear some curious anecdotes about them. The surrounding green area will allow us to get in tune with nature and get a taste of farm life!
In the mid-morning or afternoon we will take a break of about 30 minutes for a snack (included) of tea or coffee and a delicious home-made cake. Then we will return to our animal friends and start the second part of the activity, which will have some exceptional protagonists: amphibians! This category includes endangered species, such as frogs, which we will be able to discover and observe.
In addition, during the experience we will be able to collect eggs from the hens and cuddle the most affectionate animals on the farm, among which there are also some cats! It will be a fun experience that will allow us to admire the wonderful Tuscan hilly landscape while discovering a curious and fascinating rural reality.
The total duration of the activity, including briefing and snack, is 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a waiver by a responsible adult.
The activity is suitable for people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties.
Other information
The activity is available from February to June and from September to December and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. Parking facilities are available in the vicinity.
A snack of tea or coffee and a homemade cake will be offered during the experience. In case of allergies and intolerances, you can request an alternative via the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Dogs are allowed on the farm if kept on a leash.
