Full-day boat tour along the Costa dei Dei with aperitif

Why choose between the Roman underwater ruins and the mythological caves of Capo Vaticano when you can have both?

Join us for a full-day experience to cruise at a leisurely pace along the entire Costa degli Dei! Accompanied by a skipper, you’ll explore the coastline from Tropea to Capo Vaticano, discovering the Ancient Roman Fish Market and other wonders. The trip includes a delicious local aperitif!

What we will do

We’ll meet 15 minutes before departure at the designated meeting point in Tropea (VV). We’ll meet the skipper and board a luxury motorboat, ready to set off on our adventure!

We’ll make our first 30-minute stop at the Grotta dello Scheletro (or Grotta Bianca) , where we’ll put on our masks and snorkels. The skipper will join us in the water to guide us as we snorkel inside the cave, famous for its play of light. We’ll then head towards the Forum Herculis, an ancient submerged Roman harbour, where we’ll make another 30-minute stop for a guided snorkelling session and stories about the site’s legends.

Afterwards, we’ll sail to Riaci Bay for a 20-minute swim stop in front of the Grande Scoglio. We’ll then arrive at Capo Vaticano, in Grotticelle Bay (also known as Baia Blu) , where we’ll stop for 40 minutes.

In the afternoon, we’ll stop at the Ancient Roman Fishpond of Sant’Irene for a guided snorkelling session. We’ll then head to Paradiso del Sub for 30 minutes of free swimming and sail along the coast past Zambrone beach to Panta Rei Bay, where we’ll stop for another hour.

The tour includes an aperitif on board featuring typical Calabrian specialities such as cheeses, crostini, taralli, local delicacies and fresh fruit, accompanied by prosecco, white wine, juices and tea. For lunch, you can choose to bring your own packed lunch or arrange with the skipper for a lunch on board consisting of sandwiches or rotisserie items (lunch is included in the tour price but must be requested from the organiser after booking confirmation for organisational reasons) .

We’ll round off the day in style with our return to Tropea. The tour will last a total of 7 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is open to children aged 3 and over. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This experience is not recommended for women in the late stages of pregnancy.

The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Passengers with reduced mobility (not using a wheelchair) may be assisted whilst boarding, provided they give advance notice.

Other information

The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed provided there is a minimum of 5 participants.

The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.

The vessel used is a luxury, sporty motorboat, 7. 5 metres long and fitted with a sun awning, non-slip teak decking, a sun deck at the bow, a refrigerated cockpit, tables, a fresh-water shower, a stern platform, a boarding ladder and music. Shoes must be removed whilst on board.

If you have any food allergies or intolerances (including coeliac disease) , please inform the organisers in advance using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email. During the excursion, you may request a lunch on board consisting of sandwiches or rotisserie items at no extra cost; please inform the organisers of this after your booking has been confirmed. Alternatively, you may bring your own packed lunch.

Dogs are not permitted on board.

Free and paid parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
