Quad bike day in the province of Imperia with lunch and tasting

A little bit of sea, a little bit of dirt road, and a lot of taste: this is the perfect formula for a day on a quad bike on the Ligurian Riviera.

Leaving from Santo Stefano al Mare, in the province of Imperia, you'll move through colourful villages, dirt roads and hills of olive trees to a farm where an oil tasting and a traditional Ligurian lunch await you.

What we will do

The meeting is at 9 a. m. in Santo Stefano al Mare, in the province of Imperia. Upon arrival, the guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment - helmet, hygienic under-helmet - and will conduct a briefing on the use of the quad bike and on safety rules. You will then set off in the direction of Imperia, along a scenic stretch of the Aurelia road that runs alongside the sea, before turning inland.

The first stop is Valloria, known as the 'village of painted doors': a village that looks like an open-air museum. We stop for a short visit and a few photos among the colourful alleyways. This is where the most enjoyable part of the route begins: a dirt track among the olive trees, in one of the most famous areas for the production of extra virgin olive oil in Liguria.

We then climb up to Lucinasco, where we stop at a farm to discover the secrets of Ligurian olive oil. We will visit the modern oil mill, discover how oil is produced and take a tour through the village's caruggi, where two museums tell the story of rural life in the past.

Then comes the tastiest part: a guided tasting of local oils and products, followed by a typical Ligurian lunch with traditional appetisers, fresh homemade pasta or a main course of your choice, water and coffee (drinks not included) .

After lunch we will have some free time: we can visit the village, buy local products or simply relax. We will leave again in the afternoon to return to Santo Stefano al Mare following a scenic route, or - if the group prefers - taking the dirt road through the olive groves, because some roads deserve an encore!

The activity lasts about 7 hours for a 35 km route among the sea, hills and Ligurian flavours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of an easy level and suitable as a first experience.

To ride the quad bike, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid B licence (equivalent foreign licences also accepted) . Children aged 12 and under may also travel as passengers.

The experience is not suitable for pregnant women.

This activity can be booked throughout the year.

The centre has 2 quad bikes. Up to 2 persons, driver and passenger, can travel on each quad bike, for a total of 4 participants. Driver and passenger can swap driving if both are of age and have a B licence.

In the summer period, from June to September, there is also the possibility of swimming in the natural lakes of Lucinasco , so remember to bring your swimming costume!

The meeting place can be reached by public transport; there is free parking on site (contact the operator at the references that will be sent to you by e-mail to receive the entrance ticket) .
