Day trip by dinghy in the Gulf of Orosei

Spend a day away from the hustle and bustle while relaxing on board an inflatable boat that will take you to discover the beautiful coves of the Gulf of Orosei.

You can sunbathe and then dive into the transparent waters that characterise this stretch of coastline in eastern Sardinia.

You will fall in love with the wild and at the same time naturally perfect landscape of the Gulf, not by chance classified as one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

What we will do

We will meet 30 minutes in advance at the port of Cala Gonone, from where we will set sail at the time selected during the booking process. The skipper will accompany us during the navigation, telling us about the curiosities of the wild Gulf of Orosei.

During the excursion we will stop at three of the most beautiful and suggestive beaches (at the skipper's discretion): Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Le Piscine di Venere, Cala Mariolu or Cala Goloritzè. Stops will last between 1 and 2 hours.

The longest stop will be for lunch (not included, to be taken packed). On this occasion, we can ask the skipper for umbrellas to be used on the beach.

In addition to the stops at the beach, we will stop several times to take a swim from the dinghy, a pleasant swim at anchor in the crystal-clear, paradisiacal waters of the Piscine di Venere (Venus Pools), then on to the wonderful Cala Goloritzè where we will make another stop for a swim near the natural arch near the beach.

We will return to port after about 7 hours of excursion.

The activity is open to all, regardless of age.

Other information

The activity takes place every day from April to November, weather permitting.

Pleasenote: it is necessary to arrive at least 30 minutes before the selected time in order to set sail on time. For the 8.30 departure, you must therefore arrive no later than 8.00 a.m. for check-in; for the 10.30 departure, you must arrive no later than 9.45 a.m.

The boat at our disposal will be aClubman 26 dinghy of almost 8 metres in length and equipped with a large sundeck at the bow, removable awning, console and safety equipment. It will not be possible to bring animals on board.

Due to beach quotas, during the months of August, September and October stopovers may vary; access to Cala Mariolu is not guaranteed at every departure.

During the stops on the beach, it is not allowed to stay on board the dinghy.

During the stops on the beach at lunchtime it will be possible to ask the crew to use the cool bags and umbrellas on board.

There is an environmental fee at the beaches under the territory of the municipality of Baunei at a cost of 3€ per adult (payable locally in cash).

Parking in the area can be difficult to find, especially in high season. We advise you to take this into account in your planning and consider using public transport or alternative transport solutions. During the months of April, May, September and October, it is possible to use paid parking spaces within the village (€12 per day). From 1 June to 15 September, it is advisable to leave your car at the pay car park (12€ per day) at the roundabout at the entrance to the village, from where a small train or shuttle bus takes you to the port about every 15 minutes (1€ per person).
