Dinghy excursion to Molara and Tavolara

Treat yourself to four hours of fun, relaxation with a maxi dinghy tour of the Tavolara Marine Protected Area.

You will depart from San Teodoro heading straight for Cala Brandinchi, whose Caribbean colours have earned it the name of Sardinian Tahiti. Here you will make an initial bathing stop and then climb aboard bound for theisland of Proratora and the cave of the oven.

After visiting the characteristic cave, you will reach the natural pools of Molara, where you will don a mask and fins for a unique snorkelling experience. You will, in fact, dive into crystal-clear waters swimming among fish and flora as if in a marvellous natural aquarium.

And that's not all, because the tour also includes stops in Tavolara: you will head for the Spalmatore di terra beach with its emerald green water and pinkish-white beach and Cala Girgolu, before reaching Capo Coda Cavallo.

What we will do

We will rendezvous in San Teodoro, where the maxi dinghy is waiting for us and we will set sail on our excursion. This is an experience that combines nature, fun and a pinch of culture thanks to the historical and natural information we will receive from the skipper.

We will set off immediately for Cala Brandicchi, also known as the 'little Sardinian Tahiti', where we will make our first swimming stop. We will discover the beauty of this beach with its exotic colours and atmosphere, thanks to its white beach and turquoise sea.

Once back on board, we will head towards Proratora Island and visit the cave of the oven, so called because it is connected to the top of the island by a natural chimney. We will then head towards Molara , skirting a marvellous coastline that should absolutely be immortalised with some beautiful souvenir photos.

We will then arrive at the pools of Molara, where we can don fins and masks for snorkelling. We will thus enjoy the unique experience of swimming in a sort of natural aquarium among fish and marine flora in crystal-clear waters.

Back on board, we will continue our excursion towards the rock face of Tavolara Island, where we will spot the Cathedral Cave. Here we will hear from the skipper about the history of the world's smallest kingdom and circumnavigate the island for a swim in front of the Spalmatore di terra beach.

We will then continue on to Cala Girgolu, where we can admire the Turtle Cove, which owes its name to a turtle-shaped rock, the Beach of the Cows and the Beach of the Flat Stones. Here too we will make an unforgettable swimming stop.

We will then complete the tour by reaching the large bay of Capo Coda Cavallo, where there is the possibility of all enjoying an aperitif on board (not included). We will then resume sailing to reach our starting point after about 4 hours of touring.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is open to all, without age limits. Please inform the staff in case of participation of pregnant women.

The raft is not wheelchair accessible.

Other information

The excursion is held from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.

Pleasenote: arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time. The meeting point is easily accessible by public transport (a van will be available from the meeting point to the pier). There is the possibility of requesting a transfer service from your hotel/accommodation at an extra charge (request this directly from the guide after booking confirmation).

The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. The staff checks the forecast in advance and may make changes to the itinerary to ensure a trouble-free excursion.

The boat is a maxi dinghy measuring 8 metres in length. The dinghy is equipped with an awning, cushions, a fridge bar and a stereo system to enjoy some good music while sailing. Safety equipment and snorkelling gear are also available.

Small dogs are also allowed on the dinghy as long as they are used to being on a boat and going to the sea.

For those who wish to take advantage of theaperitif, there is an additional charge of €10 per person to be paid on site. The aperitif includes snacks, chips and prosecco.
