Rent a 5.40-metredinghy with a 40-hp engine and venture along the Syracuse coast with your group of friends or family.
You will be able to take the helm of the boat even if you do not have a licence: on board you will find all the equipment you need to relax and enjoy sailing in thePlemmirio Protected Marine Area and reach the most beautiful beaches in south-eastern Sicily, such asArenella or Fontane Bianche.
You can keep the dinghy with you for 4 hours if you choose the'Half Day' option or 8 hours if you choose the'Full Day' option: you will have plenty of time to dive into the crystal clear sea and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the time agreed at the time of booking at the port of Syracuse. On your arrival I will give you the dinghy that will accompany you on your adventure at sea. Before I let you leave the port I will give you all the explanations you need to drive safely and I will also give you a map representing the most beautiful areas and beaches to reach.
Then you can start sailing on board the 5.40-metre-long Highfield Patrol 540 dinghy with a 40-hp Honda engine, equipped with sun cushions, a ladder, a sun canopy, and a steering console. You and your group can relax on board and enjoy the sea breeze as the dinghy ploughs through the waves.
Past theisland of Ortigia, you will sail through thePlemmirio Marine Protected Area and reach the beautiful beaches of Arenella, Ognina and Fontane Bianche. You will reach beaches and coves, one more beautiful than the other, where you can take a dip and don your snorkelling mask.
Depending on what you choose when booking, you can keep the dinghy with you for 4 hours ('Half Day') or 8 hours ('Full Day').
Who it is aimed at
There isno age limit to board the boat, but you must be at least 18 years old to drive it . A boat licence is not required. No wheelchairs may be loaded on board the boat.
Other information
It is possible to hire the boat every day from March to November, subject to weather and sea conditions.
The boat available for hire is a 5.40 m longHighfield Patrol 540 dinghy with a 40 HP Honda engine. It is equipped with sun cushions, a ladder, a sun canopy, and a steering console. It can accommodate up to 6 people on board.
You may bring your small or medium-sized four-legged friend on board (maximum 1 dog).
It is compulsory to sail close to the shore.
Food and drinks are allowed on board.
When booking, you can choose either a'Half Day'(4 hours) or'Full Day'(8 hours) charter.
The cost of the charter does not include fuel: at the end of the charter you will only be asked to pay for what you have consumed.
If you prefer an experienced skipper at the helm, please send your request to the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email. The skipper 's fee is €70 for both half-day and full-day charters and will be payable locally.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
