If we say Catania, what comes to mind? Mount Etna in the distance, arancini, but above all... the sea!
Hire a 6.30 metre, 40 hp rubber dinghy for up to 8 people and explore the Catania coastline in total freedom, in the company of your group of friends or family.
You can choose between half-day (4 hours) or full-day (9 hours) rental. Get ready to be the captain of this adventure!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the indicated time in the Ognina area in Catania.
Here you will sign the contract and receive a briefing from the staff, who will explain everything you need to know to navigate safely.
The dinghy, model Gem, is 6.30 metres long with a 40 HP engine and is equipped with a freshwater shower, dining table, stereo system, climbing ladder, USB port, sundeck, and awning. The boat is suitable for groups of up to 8 people and can be driven without a licence.
Once at the helm, you will be able to move easily along the coast, going as far as the Port of Catania or Capo Mulini, where you can stop for a dip or a lunch break on board, enjoying the beauty of the sea views.
When booking, you can choose between half-day (9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm) or full-day (9am-6pm).
Who it is aimed at
A licence is not required to drive the dinghy, but it is mandatory to be of legal age.
There are no age limits for passengers.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The dinghy can be hired from May to October and can accommodate up to 6 people.
You can choose the 4- or 9-hour option. Please select your preference in the booking box.
Important: fuel is not included in the fee and will be payable on return according to consumption. Both cards and cash are accepted.
The following optional services are available, to be requested from the charterer at the contact details indicated in the booking confirmation email and to be paid on site: skipper (€100 for a full day only), insurance (€30), cooler with ice (€25) and drinks box (€45).
Small dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; there are free and paid parking spaces on site. A transfer service for up to 9 people is also available (extra charge depending on distance) between Catania and Messina: to request this, please contact the rental company after booking confirmation.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
