Sail peacefully along the Syracuse coast on board aHighfield Sport 520 dinghy and discover thePlemmirio Protected Marine Area or the Gulf of Ortigia.

Choose whether to rent the dinghy for half a day or a full day and get ready to plough through the waves: you can take the helm even if you don't have a licence!
What we will do
I will meet you at the port of Syracuse. I will accompany you to the boat, give you some instructions on how to navigate safely, and hand you a map indicating the most beautiful areas and beaches to reach by sea.
Afterwards, when your whole group is on board, you can start your engines and leave the port. You will sail towards theProtected Marine Area of Plemmirio, the beach of Fontane Bianche and the Gulf of Ortigia. When you wish, you can stop for a dip and a swim in the crystal-clear waters.
The 5.2-metre dinghy has a 40-hp Honda engine and can also be driven by those without a boat licence; however, it is necessary to navigate along the coast. The boat is equipped with sun cushions, a ladder, steering console, freshwater shower, awning and roll-bar - everything you need to be comfortable on board and enjoy some relaxation.
The duration of the charter is 4 hours if you choose the'Half-day' option when booking, or 8 hours if you choose the'Full-day' option.
Who it is aimed at
There isno age limit to board the boat, but you must be at least 18 years old to drive it . A boat licence is not required. No wheelchairs may be loaded on board the boat.

It is possible to hire the boat every day from March to November, subject to weather and sea conditions.
The boat available for hire is a 5.2 metreHighfield Sport 520 dinghy from 2021, with a 40 hp Honda engine. The boat is equipped with sun cushions, ladder, steering console, freshwater shower, awning and roll-bar. It is approved to carry up to 6 people on board.
You may bring your small or medium-sized four-legged friend on board (maximum 1 dog).
It is compulsory to sail close to the shore.
Food and drinks are allowed on board.
When booking, you can choose either a'Half Day'(4 hours) or'Full Day'(8 hours) charter.
The cost of the charter does not include fuel: at the end of the charter you will only be asked to pay for what you have consumed.
If you prefer an experienced skipper at the helm, please send your request to the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email. The skipper 's fee is €70 for both half-day and full-day charters and will be payable locally.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
