Holiday in Sardinia? Yes, but on the Costa delle Miniere to discover a UNESCO heritage area!
Join us for a 3-hour dinghy excursion from Masua, which will take you to admire amazing remains of industrial archaeology, such as Porto Flavia and the Laveria Lamarmora. But the beauty of Cala Domestica and the Pan di Zucchero stacks will not be outdone either.
Enjoy every centimetre of this coastline, together with a skipper who will reveal its secrets. .. between dives!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Masua (SU), municipality of Iglesias.
Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our dinghy excursion along the Costa delle Miniere! This stretch of coastline, part of the Sardinian Geominerary Park, is a true open-air museum where industrial archaeology merges with nature.
We will immediately admire the incredible sea outlet of Porto Flavia, a masterpiece of mining engineering carved into the rock. We will continue towards the semi-submerged Soffione cave, which we will observe from the outside to see its geyser-like sprays, and the Baia dell'Acqua Dolce, where a karstic river flows.
Navigation will continue to the Grotta Sardegna - a cave that really does have the shape of Sardinia! - and the Baia dei Faraglioni, where we will unearth the curious elephant rock, pushing on to Canalgrande, a geological site of world importance, and the inlets of Portu Sciusciau and Sa Cala de Su Forru.
The next stop will be Cala Domestica, a deep natural fjord set between cliffs, dominated by the Spanish Tower. We will then turn back to the south side of Masua. We will see the Pan di Zucchero stack, which owes its name to its resemblance to Rio de Janeiro's Pão de Açúcar. At 133 metres high, it is the largest stack in Europe; it features two caves and the submerged statue of a Madonnina.
We will then continue on to the Faraglioni de il Morto, S'Agustieri, Portu Banda and Portu Nebida. It is here that we will be able to admire the Laveria Lamarmora, an imposing mining building overlooking the sea.
During the tour, we will stop for three bathing stops of about 15 minutes at different points chosen by the skipper. We will have the opportunity to dive and snorkel in these unique views!
At the end of the excursion, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children from 0 to 3 years old do not pay; please communicate their presence to the contacts indicated in your booking confirmation email.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible. The excursion is also not suitable for people with mobility difficulties or women in an advanced state of pregnancy.

The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 6 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is an inflatable boat, between 6 and 8 metres long and equipped with a shower, awning and ladder. No shoes are worn on board.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
There are paid parking spaces on site and some free parking areas. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
