Full description
What do pirates, Napoleon Bonaparte and Giuseppe Garibaldi have in common? You’ll find the answer on this fascinating day-long zodiac tour exploring the seven islands of the Maddalena Archipelago.
This little corner of paradise in northern Sardinia is indeed a treasure trove of immense natural and historical gems. Get ready to set sail for the main islands and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters.
Discover Santo Stefano, from where Napoleon attacked La Maddalena. Admire the island of Caprera, home to Garibaldi. It will be an excursion that will go down in history!
What we will do
We’ll meet at 10. 30 am in Palau. Once there, we’ll meet the skipper and set sail at 11: 00 to begin our excursion, which includes seven stops at the islands of the Maddalena Archipelago, accompanied by a skipper who’ll share stories and anecdotes about the places we visit.
We will visit Cala Levante or Villa Marina, Il Pesce, La Maddalena, Cala Corsara or Soraya, the Natural Pools, Passo degli Asinelli and Cala Santa Maria.
We will stop at Santo Stefano, where Napoleon Bonaparte fought his first – and lost – battle to conquer Sardinia, and Caprera, famous as the home of Garibaldi. Another stop in the town of La Maddalena to explore the historic centre.
Once we’re back on the water, we’ll set course for Spargi, a small granite island, and its Cala Corsara or Soraya. Afterwards, we’ll head towards Budelli, where we’ll stop at the Natural Pools in front of Razzoli and finally at Cala Santa Maria.
During the excursion, snorkelling equipment will be provided so we can dive into the archipelago’s emerald waters and explore the seabed. On board, there will be plenty of drinks and… myrtle liqueur!
We will return to the port of Palau after a 7-hour excursion.
