Get ready to discover the most beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Orosei with a full-day dinghy tour from Santa Maria Navarrese.
Sailing along the coast, you will admire the Grotta dei Colombi (Cave of the Pigeons ) and the fjords of Portu Pedrosu and Portu Cuau. There will also be three beach stops, at Cala Mariolu, Cala Biriala and the Spiaggia dei Gabbiani, three naturalistic jewels of Sardinia.
During the navigation you can relax, sunbathe, swim and discover the special features of the area together with our experienced skippers.
What we will do
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 9am (or 8.30am in August) at the Santa Maria Navarrese marina. Here we will meet our skipper and board the dinghy ready for a day's excursion in the Gulf of Orosei.
During the navigation, always close to the coast, we will be able to admire Pedralonga, the Baus waterfalls, the Grotta dei Colombi, the natural fjords of Portu Pedrosu and Portu Cuau, and the numerous caves at sea level that only professional skippers know about.
The tour will include stops at three beaches considered to be among the most beautiful in the entire Mediterranean, with mooring directly on shore. In the morning we will stop for about anhour and a half at Cala Mariolu, known by the locals as Ispuligedenie (snow fleas), while around lunchtime we will land at Cala Biriala, where we will stop for two hours.
The third stop of anhour and a half in the early afternoon will be at the Spiaggia dei Gabbiani (Seagulls' Beach), a small paradise with crystal-clear waters. Of these three beaches, only Cala Mariolu is equipped with a kiosk bar, so it is recommended to bring a packed lunch.
We will also make two other short stops at anchor for a refreshing swim, one near Cala Goloritzè and the other at Piscine di Venere.
Return to the port of Santa Maria Navarrese is scheduled for around 17 :00 (or 16:30 in August). The activity will last a total of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is open to everyone, with no age limit. It is not recommended for pregnant women and people with back problems.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The activity takes place from March to October, depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used for the tour is a spacious dinghy approved for 18 persons, equipped with awning, ladder, stereo, shower and refrigerator.
Beach landing fees of €1 per person are not included in the fee and are payable locally in cash upon check-in.
Dogs are not allowed on board, as by regional ordinance they are not allowed on the beach.
