Full description
Enjoy a maxi dinghy tour along the Baunei Coast, a paradisiacal stretch of coastline in central-eastern Sardinia.
Set off from Santa Maria Navarrese and sail north to discover the enchanting landscapes of Cala Mariolu, Cala Gabbiani and Cala Biriala.
The experienced captain will reveal all the secrets and curiosities of one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean and the world.
What we will do
The meeting is at 8.45 a.m. in Santa Maria Navarrese. Here we will meet the rest of the group and the captain who will accompany us on the tour along the Baunei coastline.
We will board the dinghy and at 9:00 a.m. we will set off for the first stop: Cala dei Gabbiani, a quiet beach, less well-known than its sisters, but just as fascinating where the crystal-clear water with shades ranging from green to blue reaches the shore of white pebbles. We dive from the dinghy to swim and do some snorkelling to admire the seabed.
Once back on board, we will head towards Cala Mariolu. We will disembark at the cove we will face, characterised by pebbles with pink hues. At this point in the excursion, we will feel a certain pang of hunger and will be able to eat our packed lunch overlooking the sea (there is also a small kiosk on the beach where you can buy something to eat).
In the afternoon, we will set off in the direction of Cala Biriala, where we will find a seabed of small white pebbles and emerald-coloured water really inviting for our dives. If the group wishes, we can replace the stop at Cala Biriala with a visit to the Grotta del Fico (entrance ticket not included in the participation fee) where we can delve into the natural cavities and hear the echo of the monk seal.
We will return to Santa Maria Navarrese at around 17:00, after an 8-hour experience.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children up to 2 years of age participate free of charge.
Other information
The tour runs from May to October and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
Each stop will last about an hour or an hour and a half. If the beaches are not too crowded, there will also be time to reach the Piscine di Venere and Cala Golortizè.
There is a 1€ per person fee to be paid in cash on site to access Cala Mariolu.
It is necessary to arrive 15 minutes before the time agreed at the time of booking in order to allow boarding and departure at the agreed time.
The boat available for the tour is a 7.5-metre maxi dinghy without a canopy that can accommodate up to 12 people in addition to the captain. You may bring your own parasol on board. Dogs are not allowed on the dinghy.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals.
