Who said that the gods of ancient Greece live on Olympus? The truth is that they took refuge in Tropea!
This village in Calabria is so beautiful that no one would ever want to leave. Get ready to discover it with a 3-hour dinghy tour that will take you sailing along the Costa degli Dei, between Santa Maria Island, Formicoli and Capo Vaticano.
And, between you and me, the Calabrian aperitif on board is truly divine!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Tropea (VV). Here we will meet the skipper who will accompany us on our dinghy excursion along the Costa degli Dei!
We will start sailing south in the direction of Capo Vaticano to admire the sheer cliffs above the water and make an initial 30-minute swim stop . On the way, the skipper will entertain us with stories and curiosities about the area.
From Capo Vaticano we will reverse course and head towards Formicoli, with Roman remains submerged under the surface of the water, and the Bay of Riace. At these two points too, we will stop for about 30 minutes to dive from the dinghy and snorkel to discover the seabed. On the way back to Tropea, we will make one last stop at the Grotta del Palombaro, just behind the Isola di Santa Maria.
The highlight of the tour will be a delicious Calabrian aperitif: we will taste crostini prepared with typical products, accompanied by a glass of prosecco or soft drinks. A moment of pure relaxation while we are surrounded by a divine panorama!
At the end of the excursion, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Children under 2 years of age do not pay: please inform the organisers of their presence after booking confirmation.
A minimum of familiarity with the water is required to fully enjoy the swimming and snorkelling stops.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible; the experience is not suitable for people with motor problems, those suffering from seasickness and women in an advanced state of pregnancy.

The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 8 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary according to weather and sea conditions at the skipper's discretion.
The boat used is an inflatable boat between 6 and 12 metres long, equipped with awning, shower and ladder. One stays on board without shoes.

Small dogs are welcome on board, subject to notification after booking.
On-site parking spaces are available free of charge or for a fee outside the harbour. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
