In Lampedusa everything depends on the wind: even our dinghy tour!
Get ready to follow the current on a half-day trip full of emotions: sailing along the north or south coast, depending on the weather and sea conditions, you will discover some of the most beautiful stops between Capo Ponente, the famous Conigli beach and the 'flying boats' of Tabaccara.
Sirocco or mistral: which will prevail?
What we will do
The rendezvous is in Lampedusa (AG), 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
An experienced skipper will be there, ready to welcome us on board a comfortable rubber dinghy, perfect for bathing in the most unspoilt coves, where larger boats cannot reach!
Once we set sail, we will follow the wind, which will be the protagonist of the entire excursion: in the case of a sirocco , we will be able to appreciate the northern side of the island more, discovering Cala Ponente, Sacramento and Muro Vecchio (other stops will depend on weather conditions and traffic at sea).
With the mistral, on the other hand, the beautiful south coast will dominate the scene. Here we will be able to admire the beautiful Conigli beach, Cala Pulcino, Vallone delle acque and be enchanted by the optical phenomenon of the 'flying boats' of Tabaccara.
During the excursion there will be 4 swimming and snorkelling stops (equipment included) in the island's crystal-clear waters, at points selected by the skipper according to weather and sea conditions. The duration of the stops may vary from 20 to 40 minutes.
Return is scheduled after a 4-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Children 0-2 are free of charge: please inform us of their presence after booking confirmation.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but on request passengers with reduced mobility can be assisted to board.
Other information
The tour is available daily, from April to October, with a minimum of 5 participants.
The itinerarymay vary depending on weather and wind conditions: the best route along the north or south side of the island will be chosen depending on the day.
You will travel on a 7.5 m dinghy equipped with a climbing ladder, freshwater shower, USB socket, awning, sundeck, or on a 10 m cabin dinghy with cabin, on-board toilet, ladder and shower. If you have a preference regarding the boat, please let the skipper know after booking confirmation.
Small dogs are allowed (max. 1 dog on board that can be carried).
The meeting place can be reached by public transport or by car (car park 100 m away).
