In Monopoli, you can experience the thrill of your first scuba dive with a Discover Scuba Diving session: accompanied by an instructor, you’ll dive down to 12 metres without needing a diving certificate!
Get ready for a unique adventure!
What we will do
We’ll meet at the time indicated at the meeting point on the border between Polignano a Mare and Monopoli (BA).The instructor who will be guiding us on our diving excursion will be waiting for us there.
We’ll start with a briefing to learn the key safety rules to follow during the activity. After that, we’ll put on the equipment provided and head into the sea to practise in shallow water.
We’ll carry out some simple exercises, learning how to clear our masks, retrieve our regulators and equalise.
Once we’ve got the hang of it, we’ll head towards the dive site. We’ll descend gradually to a depth of 12 metres for a guided exploration lasting around 30 minutes.
Whilst exploring the seabed, we’ll be able to observe octopuses, scorpionfish, wrasse and salema porgy up close and experience the thrill of exploring the underwater world for the first time.
Once the activity is over, we’ll return to shore for a brief final debriefing before saying our goodbyes. The experience will last a total of one and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for children aged 10 and over; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
No diving certificate is required to take part in the activity, but you must be able to swim and be in good health. If you have respiratory conditions, heart problems, epilepsy or diabetes, you must provide a medical certificate.
Scuba diving is not recommended within 24 hours of a flight.
The activity is easy and suitable for a first-time dive.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed once a minimum of 2 participants have signed up. Each instructor will dive with a maximum of 5 participants.
There are no changing rooms on site, so we recommend arriving with your swimwear already on. There is no secure storage facility for valuables.
On request, and for an additional charge of 55 euros, you can have underwater photos and videos taken.
Any accompanying guests may wait at the meeting point at the diving centre, where dogs on a lead are permitted.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
