Sometimes it takes little to change your point of view: a deep breath, a glance below the surface, and you find yourself in a world that seems to be made of silence and wonder.
With Discovery Scuba Diving in Sorrento you will make not one, but two dives in the company of a diving instructor to discover the sea between the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts.
No licence required, just a great desire to explore: rocky seabeds, posidonia meadows, caves, and the possibility of going down to 12 metres, in one of Italy's most suggestive protected marine areas, await you!
What we will do
The appointment is at 09:00 at the diving centre in Massa Lubrense (NA), where we will meet thediving instructor who will accompany us throughout the experience.
We will begin with a theoretical lesson lasting about 30 minutes, which will be useful for familiarising ourselves with the equipment and learning the signals to use underwater.
Then we will walk to the pier (only 200 metres away) and board a 7.20-metre dinghy, ready to reach the first dive site within thePunta Campanella Marine Protected Area, such as the Bay of Ieranto.
The first dive will take us down to a depth of 12 metres, in small groups of a maximum of two people per instructor. Among underwater caves, algae-covered rocks and shoals of bream and groupers, we will dive into a vibrant and colourful ecosystem.
After a surface interval on board the dinghy with a regenerating snack, we will change tanks and move to a second cove for the second dive, similar to the first but in a new stretch of sea.
We will return to the diving centre at around 13:00. The experience will last around five hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 10 and up; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have a signed release form.
A medical certificate is required in the event of pulmonary problems, heart problems, epilepsy and diabetes.
The activity is aimed at those wishing to approach scuba diving for the first time and learn the safety rules, use of equipment and basic scuba diving skills in shallow water.
Other information
The experience takes place from April to November.
It is not recommended to dive 24 hours before a flight.
There are outdoor showers and toilets on site, however, there are no changing rooms, so it is advisable to arrive with your swimming costume already on. Any personal items may be stored in a secure common storage room.
Any accompanying persons may wait at the meeting point.
On-site parking is available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
