Have you ever dreamed of breathing underwater? With Discovery Scuba Diving in Ustica you really can, in the company of a diving instructor who is always by your side.
During this experience, you will dive down to 12 metres and explore the seabed of the island'sMarine Protected Area, encountering groupers, starfish, octopuses and other wonders of the Mediterranean Sea.
Youdon't need a licence, just a great desire for discovery!
What we will do
The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ustica (PA). We will be welcomed by thediving instructor who will accompany us throughout the Discovery Scuba Diving experience!
We will begin by measuring our equipment and an initial briefing, which will take place either at the dock or directly on board the dinghy during navigation to the dive site.
Once ready, we will board the dinghy and head towards one of the extraordinary sites of theUstica Marine Protected Area, established to preserve one of the richest marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean.
Once at the dive site, the instructor will show us the equipment and guide us through a series of simple underwater exercises designed to make us familiar with the marine environment and breathe safely.
At this point our actual dive will begin, lasting a minimum of 30 minutes and up to 1 hour. We will descend individually with the instructor to a depth of between 8 and 12 metres. We will swim among damselfish , groupers, seabreams, nudibranches, starfish, and - with a bit of luck - we may even spot tuna or turtles!
At the end of the dive, we will re-board and return to the starting point. The experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 10; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point.
Swimming skills are required to participate in the activity.
The experience is forbidden for pregnant women and people suffering from pulmonary problems, asthma and epilepsy.
The activity is aimed at those wishing to approach scuba diving for the first time and learn the safety rules, use of equipment and basic shallow-water diving skills.
No licence is required to participate.
Other information
Attention! The start time of the activity must be confirmed by the organiser.
The experience takes place from mid-April to mid-October.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be easily reached from Palermo by hydrofoil, catamaran or ferry.
There are no changing rooms on site, so it is advisable to arrive with your swimming costume already on. Any personal items can be stored in the organiser's secure van.
It is not recommended to dive 24 hours before a flight.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
