They feature in fairy tales, legends and folk sayings, but how well do you really know them?
This experience is perfect for finding out more about donkeys, guided by an expert assistant. You’ll discover how they live in the wild, the dynamics within the herd, and how to feed and cuddle them whilst respecting their personal space.

What we will do
We’ll meet at the time indicated at the meeting point in Alghero (SS). Our guide and donkey handler will be there to welcome us to her farm!
We’ll start with a brief introductory briefing, during which we’ll be told the rules for moving safely through the woodland and how to approach the donkeys correctly. We’ll meet 15 of them, who live completely free: there won’t be any enclosures, so we’ll be the ones tiptoeing into their home!
We’ll meet the lovely Moka, the leader Augusto, the lanky Chicco, the sweet Erula and Seta, and all their friends. The guide will explain the herd’s hierarchy to us and let us feed them.
With brushes and gloves to hand, we’ll be able to stroke and groom these ever-so-sweet animals, experiencing the unique thrill of being chosen by them, letting them approach us at their own pace. If we then fancy a bit of exploration, we’ll take a pleasant, relaxing stroll along the estate’s paths: our new friends will follow us of their own accord, letting us pamper them during our stops.
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point and spend a few last minutes saying goodbye to our adventure companions.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This experience is suitable for children aged 2 and over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The experience is not accessible to wheelchair users, but is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Please contact the activity organisers in advance using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know you will be attending.

The experience runs all year round and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Dogs are not permitted.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
During the experience, the guide will take some lovely souvenir photos.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
