Have you ever taken a donkey for a walk? You can do just that by joining our donkey and pony walk in Recoaro Terme, in the province of Vicenza.
Accompanied by a guide and the lovely Sole, Geppi, Alba and Luna, you’ll explore off-the-beaten-track trails and incredible scenic spots.
A 2-hour experience to switch off and rediscover nature’s slow pace. It’s impossible to resist their charm!
What we will do
The event takes place in Recoaro Terme (VI). Here we’ll meet the guide, who’ll introduce us to the real stars of the day: the donkeys Sole and Geppi, and the ponies Alba and Luna. We’ll start with a welcome session lasting about 30 minutes, during which we’ll be able to brush and cuddle them, learnt how to approach them properly and discover lots of interesting facts about their personalities.
Once we’ve bonded with the animals, we’ll learn how to lead them by hand using a lead rope. We’ll then set off on our walk along a dirt track that winds through fields and woods, away from the more touristy areas. The route, about 4 km long, will take us along a lesser-known section of the ‘Sentiero dei Grandi Alberi’, from where we’ll be able to enjoy a splendid view of the surrounding countryside.
During the walk, we’ll take turns leading the animals so that everyone can make the most of the experience (if the guide allows it, children under 12 may even get on the saddle for a short stretch! ).
We’ll then return to the meeting point. The activity lasts about an hour and a half in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and suitable for everyone aged 3 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The route has an elevation gain of approximately 150 metres, so the experience is not accessible to people with mobility impairments.

The experience is available all year round. It is confirmed subject to a minimum of 2 participants and can accommodate up to 10 people.
Free parking is available on site and the venue is also easily accessible by public transport.
Dogs are not permitted.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
