Imagine cycling through beautiful salt marshes or e-biking to the site of an ancient battle between the Romans and Carthaginians. All this is possible by hiring a pedal-assisted bike in Barletta, an Apulian town in the Ofanto Valley.
Choose whether to rent the e-bike for half a day or afull day and set out to discover this area rich in treasures. See you in the saddle!
What we will do
You will be able to pick up your e-bike at the indicated meeting point in Barletta, starting at 9:00 am.
On your arrival, the rental staff will give you the bike best suited to your physical characteristics, together with a helmet, and will recommend some routes to take in the area. Among the destinations easily reached by e-bike not to be missed is the citadel of Canne, where in 216 B.C. Hannibal defeated the Roman army in a famous battle; if you want to learn more about this fascinating history, a stop at the Antiquarium of Canne is a must!
If you prefer nature tours, you could cycle to Margherita di Savoia. This town about 12 km from Barletta is home to one of the largest salt pans in Europe, where (with a bit of luck) it is possible to spot pink flamingos. Whatever your choice, the Barletta area is perfect to explore by e-bike for a full immersion in nature and culture.
The duration of the rental will be 6 hours for a half-day, with return by 3pm, or 12 hours for a full day, with return by 9pm.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone. Aminimum height of 1.60 m is required to ride the e-bike.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Child seats for children up to 25 kg are available at an extra cost of €5. You can request the child seat at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email and pay for it on site.

Rental is available all year round.
When booking, you can choose between two models:
- MTB fullsuspension, full type, with 720 Wh battery and a range of 120 km, ideal for dirt tracks(max. 3 e-bikes can be booked).
- E-bike city and trekking, front type, with 630 Wh battery and a range of 70 km, suitable for off-road and city routes(max. 17 e-bikes bookable);
Helmet, chain and a small repair kit are included in the rental, while after the booking confirmation you can request some optional extras: side bag (8€) and mobile phone holder (5€), to be paid on site.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; paid parking spaces are available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
