Full description
From the sandy coast to the peaks of the inland hills, Romagna reveals a history woven from villages and rivers!
Join this e-bike tour to the historic village of Verucchio, departing from Rimini! Riding a modern electric bike, you’ll travel effortlessly, guided by a professional cycling tour guide.
A 4-hour excursion combining Roman ruins along the coast with the river landscape, culminating in a medieval village perched 600 metres above sea level with panoramic views!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Rimini (RN). Upon arrival, the cycling guide will provide us with an electric-assist trekking bike and a helmet. We will then hold a quick initial briefing to check that participants are comfortable with the bike and to adjust the riding settings.
We will begin our route by cycling along cycle paths and quiet back roads. The first part of the route will take us through the historic centre of Rimini, where we will dismount briefly to view the main Roman monuments, before stopping in the picturesque Borgo San Giuliano to hear a brief account of local history.
We will then head into the countryside of the Marecchia Park, cycling along a cycle path of around 15 km that runs alongside the river of the same name. We will pass through the village of Santarcangelo di Romagna for a quick visit and begin the climb towards our main destination.
We will thus reach the historic village of Verucchio, perched at an altitude of 600 metres. From this elevated vantage point, we will admire the silhouettes of Mount Titano and San Marino. We will stop in the village for about 30 minutes, during which we will rest whilst enjoying a snack (included) consisting of dried fruit or savoury treats such as tarallucci
At the end of the break, we will set off on the return journey to Rimini.
The activity will conclude after a total of 4 hours.
