Explore the Gran Sasso National Park on an e-bike tour and pedal along mountain trails surrounded by the highest peaks in Abruzzo.
You will start from one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Castel del Monte, in the province of L'Aquila. From here our experienced guides will take you on scenic routes suitable for cyclists of all levels.
Take the opportunity to spend a few hours in the fresh air, unplug and regenerate yourself by doing sport in a beautiful natural setting.
What we will do
We will meet half an hour before 9.30 a.m. in Castel del Monte, in the province of L'Aquila. This municipality, located in the southern part of the Gran Sasso massif, enjoys a panoramic position over the Tirino Valley and is an important destination for tourists and hikers.
After getting acquainted with the guide, we will be given e-bikes and the tasting box 'il Tascapane' prepared especially for us by the Forno di Castel del Monte bakery. We will have a short introductory briefing. The route will take us to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, included like Castel del Monte in the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
We will explore the surroundings and, depending on the season, nature will provide us with wonderful green or flowering meadows. We will pass by the fascinating Rocca Calascio, a medieval castle that rises up between the mountains in a panoramic position. Here we cannot miss a stop for a souvenir photo!
During the tour we will stop to recharge our batteries and discover the tasting box containing the "calcione" (fiadone), a doughnut with Trebbiano d'Abruzzo wine and a Fondista biscuit.
The route can be modified if necessary according to the average level of the participants and at the guide's discretion. The activity will last about 3 hours for a 20 to 30 km route with a return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy-medium level and is open to anyone with a slight aptitude for physical activity. You must be at least 150 cm tall and weigh no more than 100 kg.

This activity can be booked from April to October and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants, weather permitting.
