Discover the characteristic Costa dei Trabocchi with an e-bike tour and be enraptured by the charm of the ancient maritime traditions of the middle Adriatic.
Pedalling along the Abruzzo coastline you will encounter the ancient fishing structures on stilts: the trabocchi, which give their name to the stretch of coastline between Ortona and Vasto.
It will be apleasant and relaxing excursion amid nature and tradition. You will cross beaches, nature reserves and seaside villages until you reach Punta Aderci, together with our guides who will describe the area in every detail.
What we will do
We will meet at an agriturismo in Fossacesia, in the province of Chieti. We will get to know the guide and the rest of the group, and we will be handed the e-bikes and the tasting box (included) prepared especially for us by the agriturismo. We will then have a short introductory briefing and be ready to set off.
Pedalling towards Vasto, we will admire the trabocchi of Fossacesia and then head to the Lecceta di Torino di Sangro, a nature reserve characterised by oak and holm-oak woods close to the sea. We will continue cycling towards the wide sandy beach of Casalbordino Lido to reach the Punta Aderci Regional Nature Reserve in Vasto as the last stop (tour length about 42 km).
During the tour we will stop for a short break, in Abruzzese "sdijuno", to recharge our batteries and uncover our tasting bag, containing the classic "stozza" and a typical Abruzzese sweet.
The excursion takes place entirely along the coastline, is suitable for everyone and lasts a total of about four hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of medium level and suitable for adults and children over 14 years of age, with a height of no less than 1.60 cm. Some pedalling ability is required.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
