Pedal, breathe and experience unique emotions in an authentic territory! In the lands of Zafferano dell'Aquila DOP, known as thered gold of Abruzzo, an e-bike tour rich in traditions and beautiful landscapes awaits you.
The route offers suggestive views and is ideal for those seeking an experience of tranquillity, nature and discovery of the territory.
Amidst picturesque villages, cultivated fields and ancient transhumance routes, our expert guides will help you discover the pastoral traditions and small art jewels enclosed in this corner of Abruzzo.
What we will do
We will meet 30 minutes before the indicated time in Navelli (AQ). We will get acquainted with the guides who will hand over the e-bikes and hold an introductory briefing.
Starting from the square in the small village of Navelli, we will begin to pedal slightly uphill to arrive after 3 km at Civitaretenga, another small village rich in history. We will continue pedalling for a few more kilometres to Caporciano, where the uphill section that will take us to Bominaco will begin.
Once here, we will have the opportunity to visit both theOratory of S. Pellegrino, today one of the main tourist destinations in Abruzzo, and the Castle of Bominaco, which will give us a breathtaking 360-degree view, allowing us to see the peak of the Maiella, Monte Amaro, the Rocca di Calascio, Corno Grande, some peaks of the Sirente Velino and the Navelli plain below.
From Bominaco Castle, we will descend along the same road as the outward journey to below the village of Caporciano, after which we will arrive at the Church of Santa Maria di Centurelli, one of the main historical testimonies to transhumance. After a brief visit, we climb back into the saddle to return towards Civitaretenga to reach the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, also of considerable historical importance.
From here, a secondary road opposite the church will take us back to Navelli where, before ending our tour, we will ride through the historic centre and the highest part of the beautiful village. The route will be about 31 km long with 444 metres of altitude difference on a dirt and asphalt surface.
The experience will last a total of three hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy-medium level. A minimum age of 14 years, a height of at least 140 cm, a maximum weight of 100 kg and a minimal predisposition to physical activity are required.

This activity can be carried out from April to October and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
The route chosen at the time of booking may be subject to change at the guide's discretion, taking into account weather, road conditions and the state of the tracks at the time of the event.
Upon request after booking confirmation, a baby carriage for children up to 45 kg, a baby camel for children under 1.40 m tall (10€) or a baby seat for children up to 3 years old (10€) are available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
