Full description
Enjoy a peaceful bike tour along the banks of the Tirino river, one of the cleanest rivers in Italy, famous for its clear waters and vivid colours.
Cycle through the vineyards of Ofena, completely immersed in the nature of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
Reach the village of Capestrano and explore the surroundings together with an expert guide who will take you to the most picturesque spots in the area.
The tour includes a wine tasting at the Cataldi Madonna winery and a dinner under the stars based on zero-kilometre products: an experience not to be missed!
What we will do
We will meet in Capestrano (AQ) at 17:00. We will be greeted with a welcome coffee and after a short introductory briefing on the programme of activities and the use of e-bikes with pedal assistance, we will be ready to set off.
First stop will be the Piccolomini Castle, one of the most interesting fortified complexes in Abruzzo. Here we will listen to a few curiosities and anecdotes that the guide will be pleased to tell us, and then we will continue our cycling trip, heading towards the vineyards of the Upper Tirino Valley.
In the vineyards of Ofena we will cycle among the crops from which some of the best wines of Abruzzo are made, which we will be able to taste at the Cataldi Madonna wine cellar. Here, a dinner with hors d'oeuvres and first course based on 0 km products and a typical Abruzzo dessert will also be waiting for us. All to be enjoyed under the stars amidst smiles and chatting in company!
After dinner, those who wish can buy wine from the winery. Then we will get back on our e-bikes to return to Capestrano. The activity, which includes a bike ride and dinner, will last a total of about 4½ hours for a 20-25 km route.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone, with a maximum weight of 100 kg.
Children from 3 to 6 years old pay 25€. Please contact us privately if you would like to add one or more participants of this age. Children under 2 years of age participate free of charge.

Attention! You must arrive at the meeting point at least 30 minutes before the indicated time.

Trolleys are available to attach to the bikes to transport children and 4-legged friends up to 25 kg at a cost of €10 to be paid on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
