If you think cycling is hard work, it’s because you’ve never had the right motivation. Or the right bike.
Fortunately, we’re here to provide you with both: an e-bike with pedal assistance and a wine tasting halfway through the route!
Hire an e-bike in Novello and follow the 24 km guided route through the villages of Monforte d’Alba and Barolo. A 4-hour adventure, to be enjoyed on two wheels!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the time stated at the meeting point in Novello (CN), where the staff will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing on how the e-bike works and on the app with GPS tracking, we’ll get on our bikes and set off on the ride at our own pace.
The route is approximately 24 km long and winds along scenic, quiet roads, nestled amongst rows of vines and gentle undulations. We’ll cycle towards Monforte d’Alba, passing by the famous giant purple bench at Monforte-Gramolere to admire the view.
We’ll reach the hamlet of Sant’Anna to stop off at a local winery. Here we’ll stay for about an hour for a tour and tasting featuring three glasses of typical Piedmontese wines : Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba Superiore and Nebbiolo.
Back in the saddle, we’ll set off again through the Nebbiolo hills, skirting the village of Barolo with its imposing castle, before heading onto the final scenic stretch.
Finally, we’ll complete the loop by returning to the meeting point. The tour will last a total of around 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and suitable for everyone. Wine tasting is restricted to adults only.
Bike hire is available to those aged 18 and over, whilst for younger children there are special e-bikes available for heights between 135 and 155 cm, or child seats/trailers ( additional cost to be paid on site) .
Other information
Bikes are available for hire from approximately February to December.
The hire service offers trekking e-bikes, ideal for road cycling or light off-road riding and for attaching a child seat, or Front MTB e-bikes designed to tackle off-road trails with ease. Both models have an approximate range of 80–120 km per charge and 4 levels of assistance ( 25% , 50% , 100% , 150% ).
On request, child seats ( up to 25 kg) are available at an extra cost of €5, Co-pilot bike seats ( 6–8 years) at €15 and child trailer trolleys (up to 35 kg) at €15, all to be paid for on site on the day of the activity. Dogs are welcome to take part using the special dog trailer (maximum load 45 kg) , available on request at a cost of €15, payable on the day.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Changing rooms with showers are also available at the meeting point. In the event of a puncture or mechanical breakdown along the route, a recovery service is included.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
