Full description
Hop on a comfortable e-bike in Novello and set off to explore the Langhe, cycling through the UNESCO World Heritage vineyards of Barolo and the picturesque views of La Morra.
Over the course of a roughly 5½-hour ride, you’ll explore historic villages by following the route suggested by the GPS app until you reach a scenic spot for a delicious picnic.
The produce will be locally sourced, but be warned: to taste it, you’ll have to cycle about 26 kilometres… Are you ready?
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the time stated at the meeting point in Novello (CN), where the staff will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing on how the e-bike and the GPS app work, we’ll hop on our e-bikes and set off on the ride at our own pace.
The route is approximately 26 km long and winds along quiet back roads nestled in the heart of the Langhe. We’ll cycle amongst the rows of Nebbiolo vines, reach the viewpoint at La Morra to enjoy the view over the surrounding valleys, then continue towards Barolo, dominated by its famous castle, and admire the amphitheatre of Monforte d’Alba.
Along the way, we’ll stop for the most eagerly awaited break of the day: a relaxing picnic in the open air. We’ll be given our picnic basket, brimming with local, farm-fresh specialities, to enjoy at our leisure whilst taking in the panoramic view of the vineyards.
After our food and wine break, we’ll get back on our electric bikes to complete the route. Finally, we’ll return to the starting point in Novello.
The excursion will last a total of around 5½ hours ( including the picnic stop) .
