It’s not just about wine. The Langhe harbour another delicious ‘ secret’: hazelnuts!
Hire a bike in Novello and follow the 38 km guided route through the villages of Monforte d’Alba, Serralunga and Barolo.
You’ll enjoy a 6-hour adventure, during which you’ll stop off at a farm for a delicious snack of hazelnut cake and Moscato!
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the time stated at the meeting point in Novello (CN), where the staff will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing on how to use the electric bikes and the navigation app, we’ll hop on our e-bikes and set off on the ride at our own pace.
The route is approximately 38 km long and winds along scenic back roads nestled in the heart of the Langhe. We’ll cycle towards Monforte d’Alba to admire its charming historic centre and amphitheatre, before continuing on to the spectacular towers of Serralunga d’Alba Castle.
In Serralunga d’Alba, we’ll make a special stop at a local farm, where we’ll be warmly welcomed for a traditional snack. We’ll sample roasted and salted hazelnuts, artisanal hazelnut spread , the traditional Piedmont IGP hazelnut cake and a glass of Moscato.
Once back on our e-bikes, we’ll continue the circular route through the hills of Castiglione Falletto and the renowned Barolo valley, cycling amongst neat rows of vines and taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys.
Finally, we’ll complete the route by returning to the starting point. The activity will last approximately 6 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is easy and is suitable for everyone.
Bike hire is available to those aged 18 and over, whilst for younger children there are special e-bikes available for heights between 135 and 155 cm, or child seats/trailers ( additional charge to be paid on site) .
Other information
Bikes are available for hire from approximately February to December.
The hire service offers trekking e-bikes, ideal for road cycling or light off-road riding and for attaching a child seat, or Front MTB e-bikes designed to tackle off-road trails with ease. Both models have an approximate range of 80–120 km per charge and 4 levels of assistance ( 25% , 50% , 100% , 150% ).
On request, child seats ( up to 25 kg) are available at an extra cost of €5, Co-pilot bike seats ( 6–8 years) at €15 and child trailer trolleys (up to 35 kg) at €15, all to be paid for on site on the day of the activity. Dogs are welcome to take part using the special dog trailer (maximum load 45 kg) , available on request at a cost of €15, payable on the day.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Changing rooms with showers are also available at the meeting point. In the event of a puncture or mechanical breakdown along the route, a recovery service is included.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
