Get ready to change planet. .. without leaving Basilicata!
Climb into the saddle of an e-bike and pedal through the Calanchi di Montalbano Jonico, a landscape of pale clay ridges that seems to have come out of another world. In the company of an expert guide, you will experience 2 hours of pure discovery among panoramic paths and ancient mule tracks.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Montalbano Jonico (MT), where the guide will welcome us. After a brief initial briefing on safety and the operation of the means of transport, we will mount the e-bikes and set off on the excursion.
We will start pedalling along the suggestive panoramic hairpin bends, which will immediately give us a spectacular view of the reserve. The route will run for about 8 km along dirt roads and ancient mule tracks such as Appiett' u Mulin' and Appiatt' u Castied', once used by local farmers. We will cross forests and meadows, climbing hills with a difference in altitude of 280 m, which we will overcome with ease thanks to the assisted pedalling.
Along the way, we will reach the area of the Theatre of the Calanques and the path leading to the site nominated for the Golden Nail, with stops to take incredible photos of the white clay ridges. The guide will accompany us throughout the trail, telling us the secrets of this unique ecosystem.
Finally, we will return to our starting point, cycling through the rural landscapes of Basilicata. The activity will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an easy level and is for everyone, with no age limit. Child seats are available on request (up to 25 kg, age 9 months-4 years) ; trolleys are not available. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
To ride the e-bike you must be able to ride a bike and have a minimum height of 130 cm (size S) .
Other information
The tour is available from March to November and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 people.

Dogs are not allowed to participate.
There is parking on site and the meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
