Are you getting a bit bored with the usual stroll through the town centre? Hop on an e-bike in Urbino and cycle out into the countryside of the Furlo Gorge!
During this roughly 5-hour excursion, you’ll cycle through the ancient Roman Vespasian Tunnel, before treating yourself to a delicious truffle tasting in Acqualagna.
The best bit about this adventure? You set the rules: you can enjoy the route by exploring entirely on your own, or choose to be accompanied by a guide.
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before 09: 00 at the meeting point in Urbino (PU), where the guide (or a member of staff, if it’s a self-guided tour) will welcome us. After a brief introductory briefing, we’ll hop on our e-bikes and set off on the ride.
We’ll leave the magnificent Torricini of the Ducal Palace behind us to head out onto the dirt tracks and trails of the Marche region. The fresh air and the electric-assist will make for a pleasant ride right from the very first kilometres.
The route, approximately 50 km long with an elevation gain of 1, 000 m, will take us straight to the heart of the Gola del Furlo State Nature Reserve. We’ll cycle surrounded by spectacular rock faces and pass through a real piece of history: the evocative tunnel carved into the rock by Emperor Vespasian along the ancient Via Flaminia.
Along the way, we’ll stop off at Acqualagna, recognised as the international capital of truffles. Here, we’ll enjoy a mouth-watering tasting of bruschetta, eggs and fresh truffles.
With our stomachs full and our eyes filled with beauty, we’ll hop back on our e-bikes to head back towards the city centre. The activity will last a total of around 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of moderate intensity and is aimed at those who are in good physical shape.
To take part, you must be able to ride a bike and be at least 155 cm tall.
Other information
The tour is available from March to November and is confirmed once a minimum of two participants have signed up.
When booking, you can choose between the ‘guided tour’option , accompanied by a cycling guide, or the ‘unguided tour’ option , to complete the route entirely on your own.
Child seats ( rear-facing) are available on request.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
