Full description
Join us for an exciting half-day e-bike tour in the Sele Valley.
Starting in Caposele, you will ride to the medieval village of Rocca San Felice, where you will stop to visit the historic centre and castle and enjoy an aperitif with local products.
The 32 km route, mostly on asphalt, is suitable for everyone and will let you discover enchanting villages and unmissable views. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. with our guide in Caposele (AV), where we will have a short briefing in preparation for the excursion. The guide will give us a range of practical information, including details on how the electric bike works.
Once we have strapped on our helmets, we will be ready to set off. The route is mainly on asphalt for a distance of around 32 km, with an altitude difference of 200 metres. In the company of the guide, in the first 10 km we will admire the Sele Valley and reach the medieval village of Rocca San Felice.
Before arriving at our destination, we will pass through the hamlet of Materdomini and admire the Sanctuary of San Gerardo. Immediately after the sanctuary, the entrance to the provincial road will be waiting for us and we will pedal along an initial uphill stretch. At the seventh kilometre, the scenic route will begin. As we pedal, we will recognise the various towns of Irpinia: Teora, Cairano, Morra de Sanctis, Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi and Lioni.
At Rocca San Felice we will get off the bike to walk through the historic centre, with its narrow streets leading to the rocky spur on which stands the castle built in the Lombard era. After visiting the village, we will stop to enjoy an aperitif with typical local products, including the famous Carmasciano cheese.
After the aperitif, we will return by van to the starting point in Caposele (transfer included). The activity lasts a total of 4 hours, of which 2 hours on the bike.
