High-altitude e-bike tour in Val Venegia in the Dolomites

You know those weekends spent counting the steps between the sofa and the fridge? Here, forget them. This time we are taking you where the only noise is the beating of your heart mixed with the hissing of the wind at 2, 000 metres.

From Feltre we will ascend the Venegia Valley to take in a piece of sky at the foot of the Pale di San Martino, immersing ourselves in the Paneveggio Nature Park among legendary forests and peaks that scratch the clouds.

Let the e-bike's electric motor do the dirty work, while you enjoy a spectacle that no TV series could ever equal.

What we will do

The appointment is at 8: 00 a. m. at the meeting point in Feltre (BL), where the guide will welcome us. After a quick check-up of the bikes and a technical briefing, we will load the e-bikes for a transfer (included) of about 45 minutes that will take us directly to Passo Rolle, the gateway to this high-altitude paradise.

Once in the saddle, we will begin our adventure by immediately plunging into the Paneveggio Forest. The roughly 30 km route (with an elevation gain of 950 m) is an exhilarating mix of dirt roads, single tracks and technical trails that will test our riding skills (always with the support of the electric motor! ).

We will cycle along the Travignolo torrent and cross the alpine pastures of the Venegia Valley, where our gaze wanders between rock faces and flower-filled meadows. During the excursion, between one ascent and the next, we will sharpen our eyesight: it is not rare to spot marmots, deer or the golden eagle flying over the peaks.

For lunch we can stop at a typical refuge to recharge our batteries with polenta, malga cheese and homemade speck, or opt for a packed lunch with a view of the Pale di San Martino (lunch not included) . After reaching the maximum altitude of 2, 291 metres, we will begin the technical and enjoyable descent that will take us back to the tour's end point. We will return to Feltre with the transfer included in the afternoon.

The experience will last a total of about 6 and a half hours, of which about 5 hours will be spent in the saddle.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is of medium level (technical difficulty IMBA 2) and is reserved for participants over the age of 15; minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

To ride e-bikes, you must be at least 150 cm tall and not weigh more than 110 kg. It is necessary to be able to cycle safely on unpaved terrain.

Other information

The tour is available from April to October every Saturday and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 3 participants. For private groups of at least 3 persons, it is possible to request the activity also on other days of the week.

Due to the altitude and the type of technical trails, child seats or baby carriages are not permitted.

Dogs are not allowed to participate.

For lunch you can make arrangements with your guide according to your preferences: you can enjoy a picnic by the lake with a packed lunch brought from home, or stop at a bar or a typical local trattoria (to be paid on site) to taste traditional Feltre dishes.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point is easily reached by public transport.
