Marty McFly travelled through time at the wheel of his DeLorean. All you need is an e-bike to go back to the time of ancient Rome!
Get ready to discover the Via Appia, the world's oldest road in the natural parks of Rome. In the saddle of a state-of-the-art pedal-assisted bike, you will cross centuries of history pedalling through the arches of ancient aqueducts and the countryside, with a stop to visit the catacombs.
A 5-hour adventure with a guide, with lunch or an aperitif (depending on the time of day) to recharge your batteries!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Rome (RM), where the guide will welcome us. After an initial briefing to familiarise ourselves with our pedal-assisted e-bikes, we will don our helmets and set off on our exploration.
We will ride about 25 km, immersing ourselves in the timeless charm of the 'Regina Viarum', the Via Appia Antica. Our first stop will take us underground: we will stop for about 45 minutes to visit the Catacombs of San Callisto or San Sebastiano, discovering the secrets of underground Rome.
We will continue our adventure cycling through the remains of the Villa of Maxentius and the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella. We will then reach the Parco degli Acquedotti, where we will admire the imposing Roman arches towering over the countryside, before heading for our gourmet stop.
We will arrive near the Caffarella Park to relax for about 40 minutes at a characteristic country market. If we have opted for the morning tour, we will enjoy a lunch of barbecue meat and salad; if we participate in the afternoon tour, an aperitif with drinks, cold cuts and mozzarella awaits us.
Once rested, we will begin the return journey, passing through the last glimpses of nature around the Eternal City. The activity will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is at an easy/intermediate level and is intended for everyone from 12 years of age and upwards with a minimum height of 150 cm. The maximum permitted weight is 120 kg.
To participate, it is necessary to be able to ride a bicycle and have a good command of the vehicle on road surfaces that can vary from asphalt to ancient Roman cobblestones.

The tour is available all year round.
The vehicles available for the tour are high-end full e-bikes with double suspension, 625Wh battery and a range of approximately 70 km.

Dogs are not allowed to participate.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
