Get ready to cry for Elvis. And not by listening to Can't Help Falling in Love.
Take part in our horse discovery experience in Ostia: in the company of a Zooanthropologist and Technician in Ethology, you will learn to interact with the horse Hundo and the pony Elvis according to an ethical approach aimed at respect and animal welfare.
A 2-hour experience, enhanced by a vegetarian aperitif!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Ostia (RM) . We will be met by our guide, a zooanthropologist and technician in animal tourism ethology, who will accompany us on this adventure.
The experience takes place inside an animal shelter, inhabited by specimens rescued from distress situations. In particular, on this occasion we will meet the horse Hundo and the pony Elvis (who has turned 35) !
After a theoretical introduction during which the guide will delve into the figure of the horse and explain the rules of behaviour for an ethical approach to the animal, we will interact directly with Hundo and Elvis. We will approach them and gain their trust, before brushing them and taking care of them; we will then take a short walk, walking side by side. And before we know it, they will have already stolen a piece of our hearts!
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, where a vegetarian aperitif will be waiting for us, consisting of pinsa romana, fritto misto and other delicacies accompanied by an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. All this in a location that is as rustic as it is cosy, where animal welfare comes first!
The experience will last about 2 hours in total.

The experience is suitable for everyone, regardless of age. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
The experience is suitable for people with disabilities and the facility is wheelchair accessible. The person with a disability pays the reduced rate of €15.00, while the companion of the person with a disability pays the full rate. Interaction with the animal will be alternated between participants.
Leashed dogs of any accompanying persons are allowed.
