In the Maiella Park you can find wolves, bears, deer and other fascinating animals: just hop in a vintage jeep and follow a guide to the most strategic observation points in the area! Thanks to professional equipment, you will be able to spot wildlife that would go unnoticed by the naked eye. And between one sighting and another you will enjoy a delicious typical aperitif!

What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Campo di Giove (AQ) , where your guide will be waiting to take you on this exclusive experience in a vintage off-road vehicle.
After a brief introduction on the Maiella Park, you will climb aboard the jeep and move along a route of about 13 km to reach the most favourable areas for wildlife spotting. During the first phase of the excursion you will remain on a stakeout until dark: the park will come alive and you will be able to try to spot some animals thanks to the optical equipment provided (included) .
At the end of this first moment, you will walk to a nearby structure, where you will be offered an aperitif (included) based on typical Abruzzi products such as focaccia, cold cuts and cheese accompanied by wine or soft drinks. A perfect moment to recharge your batteries and share the emotions experienced during the first part of the activity.
You will then resume the excursion with the second phase of night observation, using sophisticated thermal and optical equipment to try to spot the park's most elusive fauna. If you are lucky you may see wolves, bears, deer, wild boar, foxes and nocturnal birds of prey!
Finally, you will return to the starting point by jeep.
The activity will last about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 6 and over. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children present must be able to follow the guide's instructions, which are essential for the safety and success of the excursion. To make a reservation for a child between the ages of 6 and 10, please contact us!
The experience is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.
Other information
The activity is available from May to July. Each off-road vehicle can accommodate up to eight participants, plus the guide. This is an exclusive experience.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport and there is both free and paid parking on site.
The use of mobile phones is prohibited during the night-time phase of the experience and the publication of images taken with the night equipment is not permitted without the guide's written permission.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
