Never visited the coast of Maratea? Don't miss out on a unique opportunity: set off on aboat excursion from the city's tourist port and spend a day of fun on board with your group of friends or family.
Discover the most beautiful sea inlets, from the Grotta Azzurra to the Grotta Delle Monache and the Grotta della Sciabella. Snorkel in the company of an underwater archaeologist and enjoy a fantastic aperitif with typical Lucanian products.

What we will do
From the tourist port of Maratea we will set sail at 10.00 am for our 'Captain's Tour' that will take us to discover the wonders of the Basilicata coastline .
Our itinerary, of approximately 12 nautical miles, will be fully customised to suit the needs of your group. You will be able to choose which places to visit and at which sites to stop during the tour, displaying all the possibilities on an interactive map.
The special feature of this excursion is also the possibility of choosing between two types of stops, 'Swim stops' and 'Archeo stops'. The former will allow us to swim and snorkel at some of the most beautiful spots on the coast: Secca della Giumenta, Secca di Castrocucco, Falesia di Acquafredda, Baia di Venere, Grotta Azzurra, Grotta Delle Monache and Grotta della Sciabella.
Choosing the 'Archeo-stops', on the other hand, we will be able to snorkel together with an underwater archaeologist who will point out the spots where there are underwater structures worth admiring. From the island of Santo Janni, to Calicastro, via La Secca, Punta Caina and the island of Matrella, the sea overflows with wonders!
In addition to the stops (which may vary from 6 to 8), during the day there will be a rich brunch to enjoy on board with typical local products and sparkling wine.
We will return to the port of Maratea at around 17.00.
In total, the excursion will last 7 hours.

Other information
The activity is available daily, from April to November, and is reserved for private groups of up to 5 participants.
The vehicle provided is aboat with a 100% electric motor and a 115 hp endothermic engine to support it. It is 6 metres long and is equipped with an awning, fresh water shower and refrigerator. There are no toilets on board.
Dogs of all sizes are allowed on board .
The brunch included in the price includes: canapés with local fish products, homemade botargo, tuna in oil, mackerel, olive cream, turnip cream, beans, tomatoes, raw peppers, single-portion bagged potatoes, fresh seasonal products, sparkling wine and other drinks. Those who suffer from any food allergies or intolerances are asked to contact the organisation at the contact details received in the booking confirmation.
It is possible to request some additional services, such as: fishing experience (50€ per person), underwater electric scooter rental (30€ per person), purchase of a new snorkel on board (5€), scuba tank test (100€ for the whole boat). What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
