Be careful not to confuse them: llamas and alpacas are related, but only the latter produce the so-called 'wool of the gods'! In the past, alpacas were considered invaluable animals for their wool... today you can discover their world through this 3½-hour experience at a farm in Foligno (PG).
Pet them, feed them, and learn about their habits for about an hour and a half, then follow a herb expert guide on a two-hour nature tour. Explore the world of healing and herbal herbs in this family-friendly workshop.
While you walk and collect herbs, have fun creating your own personal herbarium- you will keep it as a souvenir of the day along with some fun photos with the alpacas!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Foligno (PG), at thetime selected during the reservation. We will be welcomed into the farm garden by our guide and, having learned a little about the world of alpacas, we will walk to a centuries-old oak tree.
In the shade of this majestic tree, we will entertain ourselves for an hour and a half first with female alp acas and then with male alpacas, feeding them and discovering some curious anecdotes about them. Then we will say goodbye to our friends and follow Veronica, a herbal expert guide, on a two-hour nature tour.
We will walk through thegreen area that embraces the farm and explore the world of healing and herbal herbs, different according to the season. We will collect herbs according to the guide's instructions and create our own personal herbarium, which we can keep as a memento of the day at the end of the workshop.
The experience will last a total of 3½ hours and will make us appreciate the beauty of nature and return home with a smile.
