Take part in an unforgettable experience with birds of prey in San Vigilio di Marebbe, at the foot of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.
Together with Mario, an expert falconer, you will first visit the aviaries admiring more than 40 species of birds of prey from every corner of the planet, and then attend a unique flight demonstration.
This 2½-hour experience will give you the opportunity to get closer to the world of nocturnal and diurnal birds of prey, understanding their habits, peculiarities and importance for the ecosystem. We are waiting for you!
What we will do
The appointment is at 3pm in San Vigilio di Marebbe (BZ), at the foot of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, one of the most fascinating protected areas in the Dolomites.
We will hold an introductory briefing, in which falconer Mario will tell us about the park and how he has turned his passion into a life mission, dedicating himself to the care and protection of these magnificent birds.
We will continue with a visit to the aviaries, home to over 40 species of birds of prey from every corner of the world, including eagles, owls and tawny owls. We will hear fascinating stories about their lives, behaviour and conservation efforts to protect endangered species. The visit will last about one and a half hours.
After the theory, comes the practical moment: we will witness a flight demonstration, in which 6 different species of birds of prey will fly a few metres away from us, offering us an unforgettable flight show. Meanwhile, Mario's expert comments via microphone will make the experience even more engaging.
For those who wish, it will be possible to interact with the birds and take a photo with them, always respecting the animal. The experience has a total duration of about 2½ hours.

Dogs are allowed at the facility, but must remain in the special box during the entire experience.
