Our secret ingredient? Croquettes, of which alpacas have a sweet tooth!
And that's exactly how you'll soon become best friends: during our interactive experience, you'll not only be able to feed them, but you'll also be able to pet them, cuddle them and take cute photos in the beautiful natural setting of the Maremma.
A1.5-hour experience, enriched by an interesting educational workshop on their soft wool!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the Sasso D'ombrone (GR) meeting point. To welcome us we will find the guide who will accompany us on this soft adventure!
Once all the participants have gathered, during a briefing of about 15 minutes we will learn how to interact with the animal and receive all the necessary information for a carefree experience.
And now it is time to enter the large enclosure and meet our companions in adventure: the alpacas! We will spend time in their company, cuddling them and taking nice selfies with the beautiful Maremma landscape in the background. It will be easy to become best friends: the alpacas are greedy for our croquettes, which you will be able to feed them!
Outside the enclosure, an educational workshop of about 20 minutes will follow, during which we will learn more about the species and its production, touching the soft alpaca fibre samples. In the months of January to April, their hair is particularly thick; it is sheared just before summer for the production of soft creations.
The experience will last one and a half hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Children aged 0 to 9 participate free of charge: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.
The activity venue is not wheelchair or pushchair accessible.

The experience takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
Participants are asked not to wear fluttering clothes as they may frighten the animals.
Any insect repellent should not be sprayed on the palms of your hands as you will be feeding the animals.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
