Would you like to walk in the lush nature of the Aosta Valley in the company of majestic birds of prey?
Join us in Gignod, near Aosta, and feel like a falconer for a day in this unforgettable half-day experience.
Interact with Harris's buzzards, snowy owls or barn owls, choose your favourite and put on your falconer's glove. Begin an easy 2-hour walk interacting with these beautiful specimens that dominate the air!
What we will do
We will meet in Gignod, near Aosta, at the time selected when booking. On arrival, our guide and falconer will welcome us and introduce us to the fascinating world of falconry.
During this first introductory part of about half an hour, we will find out more about the different species of birds of prey and their characteristics, learn how to wear the glove and how to approach the animals correctly.
An owl, barn owl, Harris's buzzard, snowy owl and eagle owl will be present. Depending on our preferences and the harmony created, we will be able to choose one of these wonderful birds of prey to accompany us on our walk in the woods.
Wearing the falconer's glove, we will be able to interact immediately with the chosen bird of prey, while the falconer will accompany us to give us tips and advice. We will be able to understand the habits of these birds, how to behave with them and we will be able to admire them in flight while enjoying the lush Aosta Valley nature around us.
The walk, which is easy and suitable for everyone, will last about 2 hours, but can be modulated according to the needs of the participants.
We will then return to the starting point. The experience has a total duration of about 4 hours.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
