Full description
Imagine being able to enter the secret world of birds of prey, these magnificent predators of the sky.
We invite you to a unique experience: become a falconer for a day in the Potenza Picena countryside, an adventure that will allow you to connect with nature in a way you have never experienced before.
You will spend a day in contact with owls, buzzards, hawks and eagles in the beautiful scenery of the Marche hills and enjoy a typical lunch at a local agriturismo. Put wings on your desires!
What we will do
We will meet at 10 a .m. for a warm welcome at the meeting point in Potenza Picena, in the hills of the Marche region.
Our day will begin with a brief introduction on falconry, and then get into the swing of things with a presentation of the animals. We will have the unique opportunity to meet 10 specimens from all over the world up close, from the elusive owls to the majestic eagles, not forgetting falcons and buzzards.
We will not only observe them, but also become an active part of the experience: we will discover the differences between nocturnal and diurnal species, learn how to call birds of prey to our fist and perform the first stages of training, feeling their weight on our arm.
We will then walk with the birds of prey in the countryside, an experience in which nature and the animals will be the real protagonists. In the middle of the day, we will stop for lunch (included) at an accommodation, with starter, main course, drinks and coffee. It will be a perfect moment to relax and enjoy the hospitality of the Marche region.
In the afternoon, we will resume our activities with birds of prey, admiring their flight and deepening our techniques and knowledge. We will end our day around 18:00, but not before having immortalised these moments with a photo session. Each participant will also receive a certificate of participation as a memento of this adventure.
The activity will last a total of 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone from 8 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Wheelchair users may also take part.
Other information
The activity takes place from March to October at weekends and is confirmed with a minimum of 6 participants.
